I could not be happier with how everything turned out last weekend for my Tropical Theme Baby Shower! As some of you may know by now, I ended up having two baby showers. One the weekend before which was a Tea Party Theme Baby Shower, and than this one! It was a lot of work putting two baby showers together, but with the help of my amazing team of vendors, we were able to pull it off!

As mentioned, my theme was a tropical theme. I stuck to lots of whites and gold, with beautiful hints of greens.

My desserts were again made by me and my mom, but mostly my mom. I do have my own cake business called CarlasCakes, but my mom says its bad luck to bake your own desserts for your baby shower so she took over! We planned the theme together, but the baking was all her. She designed and made all the beautiful cookies, and baked the cake and cupcakes. I helped to ice and decorate, but I really cant take much credit... it was pretty much all her! The top tier of the cake was a chocolate Nutella cake, and the bottom tier was my famous red velvet cream cheese. The cupcakes were vanilla with vanilla icing. I made some chocolate covered red velvet cookies, and we also made banana bread... this is my top secrete recipe, and in my opinion and opinion of many... its the BEST BANANA BREAD EVER!!! Trust me! Lastly, we made some salted caramel and Nutella macarons. Yummy!!

The dessert table back drop, marble table, and green paper leaves were created by the super talented The Paper Florist in Ottawa. She was a dream to work with! She is so creative and professional, and always understand my vision! She also made the "Oh Baby" sign which hung over my photo booth backdrop, and the gorgeous peacock wicker chair!

Of course, I had to have some sort of welcome sign with balloons for when the guests arrived to the party. Lettered It beautifully hand wrote my welcome sign onto a gold frame which stood on a stunning gold stand.

Balloons N' Blossoms created a gorgeous white and gold balloon garland on the side of the sign. They also put together the stunning balloon garland that wrapped around my dessert table back drop.

Monara Events created two breath taking backdrops. One was the photo booth backdrop, where myself and guests would stand to take photos, and the other was the back drop that went behind the food bar. They also supplied all the light pink linen, and white chairs.

The Freshii Kanata location (1106 Klondike Rd, Kanata) catered the event with so many delicious wraps, salads, and energii bites! I also got their Moroccan Dish which is called the Biiblos Bowl! It's quinoa, spinach, walnuts, chickpeas, feta cheese, dried cranberries, cucumber, carrots, and a spicy harissa tahini dressing (first photo)! Everything was SO delicious!!!! They even made some adorable menu cards for the event.

Carling Flowers designed my beautiful gold pineapple flower arrangements that were placed around the room! I was totally in love with them! I had originally asked her to create flower arrangements in a regular pineapple, but then I got the idea to paint them all gold, and have the flowers be only white to match my theme! They turned out perfectly.

The Loot Bag Lady provided these super adorable succulent gift favours for all my guests to take home. Arent they so cute! I love how they turned out.

Huge thanks and shoutout to my amazing hostesses, best friend Nabila, and cousin Jenn. I am a control freak and did plan everything with the vendors etc, but all the details like organizing, drinks, games, set up, location, and prizes was all them! Thank you thank you! I am so happy with how everything turned out! The very talented Bethany captured the whole event! I have been using her for all of my photography needs. I love her!!
